After years of record focus, we’re coming together at Skydive Sebastian (Mar 21–29, 2026) in a relaxed atmosphere to have fun, sharpen skills, and grow the community—with quality over size and plenty of room for technical, smaller jumps.

Spring Fling 2026 runs March 21–March 29 at Skydive Sebastian, Florida. After several years of world record focus, we think it's time to take a breath, get together in a relaxed atmosphere and have some fun with our friends while improving our skills and growing our community.

While we will still be doing some bigger jumps—as that’s why a lot of you have traditionally come to Spring Fling— we will be keeping them to single plane groups and focusing on quality over size.

We understand that quite a few of you would like smaller, more technical jumps with lots of flying and docking. To help make this happen we will be bringing in a host of load organizers so that the responsibility doesn’t just fall on a few, and all of our organizers will have opportunities to just fly slots sometimes if they want.

Also, there are quite a few dogs who have been taking advantage of the piloting camps hosted over the last few years, and we think it's time to give some of them some practice—so lots of small ways with new terrifying pilots you can learn to trust… eventually.

Theme, community, and Raw Dogs Full Contact Canopy Course

The theme for Spring Fling this year is “Size Doesn't Matter,” but we think we have an opportunity to start this season by growing our community with the largest infusion of new pups ever. The Raw Dogs have always been about fostering growth, and that has been tough over the last two years with all of the efforts required for the record— but the good news is CRW as a whole has more attention and interest than it’s ever had.

In an effort to capitalize on that interest, we have decided to move the traditional “pups day” at the beginning of Spring Fling to a full-on Raw Dogs Full Contact Canopy Course at the end of the event, and we need as many of you as possible to help.

The camp will start with a briefing at 7:00 PM on Thursday the 26th, with three coached jumps per day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, concluding by 2:00 PM on Sunday the 29th.

You can help by

  1. Getting the word out: share the information among your local jumpers and get your friends registered.

  2. Coaching at the event. If you are an experienced coach, great! If you are not an experienced coach but want to be—also great! Part of the reason for moving this to the end of the event is to give us the opportunity to prepare new coaches. We will be doing a CRW Coach briefing on Tuesday evening, and there will be opportunities to do practice coach jumps on Wednesday and Thursday. If you are interested but not confident, remember that every experienced coach had to start as an inexperienced coach. This is a great environment to start, and we are here to help. (Hint: coaching an experienced skydiver that you already know relieves a lot of the pressure—sign up someone from your home DZ that you trust to be a heads-up first student; they will go home and spread the word about how awesome jumping with you was!)

  3. Flying video: having good video for debriefs is key for new pups. Video slots for flying with pups will be covered, and it is also a superb way to ease your way into coaching.

  4. Not participating directly but continuing to do your thing at the event as an example of what, who, and how we are as CRW dogs.

Thanks everyone. We hope to see you all there—and don’t fuck this up… again.
